Shore sets a high standard among its teaching staff and is proud to showcase a diverse leadership team and dedicated female leaders. One staff member worthy of mention is Ms Natasha Mitchell, a highly esteemed educator and Head of Shore Preparatory School. Ms Mitchell has dedicated service spanning more than 30 years and in doing so has helped shape and inspire thousands of young minds.

Ms Mitchell's leadership journey at Shore began in 2010 as the Head of Northbridge, overseeing our Early Learning Centre to Year 2. Since 2023, she has led our Preparatory School with a unique blend of collaboration and high expectations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and academic achievement.

Her genuine interest in each child and family, coupled with her empathetic and accountable leadership style, strengthens connections within the School community. Ms Mitchell is a devoted leader, passionately cultivating an environment where students, staff, and families thrive.

In recognising her service, and as part of International Women's Day 2024 acknowledgements, we were thrilled to have a select group of inquisitive Year 3 students interview Ms Mitchell, to learn more about her experiences as a woman in leadership. Watch the video below as she shares insights into navigating what at times in her career has been a male-dominated space, building a successful career and the women she most admires.
