International Student Enrolment

Shore caters to students of a wide range of academic ability so our aim is to challenge each student to reach his greatest potential by providing quality teaching. Through its pastoral programmes at all levels the School seeks to ensure that students are known in depth by class teachers, housemasters and other staff. It is our desire that the School would imbue its students with the desire to do their best in all circumstances and endeavours.

We welcome Applications for Enrolment from International Students to Shore. All International Students are enrolled as full time boarders and live in one of the four boarding houses at our North Sydney campus during term time. Shore is registered under CRICOS with the Provider Code 00772M.

Enrolment Process

To lodge an Application for Enrolment for an International Student at Shore we require the following documentation:
• A completed Application for Enrolment form
• A copy of the student’s birth certificate (translated into English if necessary)
• A copy of the information page of the student’s passport
• A copy of the student’s most recent school report, translated into English if necessary
• A history of education from the first year to the present day. A list of schools attended and the years of attendance
• A certificate of English fluency from the Australian Education Assessment Service. www.aeas.com.au ** See information below **

The application will be reviewed by the Director of Enrolments and if all criteria is met an interview will be arranged with the Director of Boarding and the Deputy Headmaster. A place offer is reliant on this interview.

If an offer is made you will need to sign the letter of offer and written agreement and pay the Enrolment and Confirmation Fees. Once this has been received the Director of Enrolments will issue an Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) to enable you to obtain your son’s student visa. Please be aware that Overseas Student Health Cover will need to be obtained prior to the Student Visa being granted.

The electronic Confirmation of Enrolment will be scanned and emailed to you together with being mailed to your home address. One semester’s fees must be paid in advance and the School Business Office will send an invoice outlining the fees due. Please follow the link to our 2024 Fee Schedule.

Australian Education Assessment Service (AEAS)

Students for whom English is an additional language must provide a certificate of English fluency from the AEAS. At Shore we require a minimum result of Stanine 7 to 9 in all areas assessed to be sure that a student will meet the required English proficiency to undertake their classes. This certificate must be lodged with the Application for Enrolment. The application will not be processed if the minimum requirement has not been met.
