Why Give Image1

We are grateful to the Shore Community who generously give to support the boys.

Below are the many ways you can partner with us:

1. Make a Pledge over 3-5 years

To provide ongoing support to the School, some generous donors spread payments of their pledge over 3,4 or 5 years.  For further information about making a gift in this way, please call David Mason-Jones, Executive Director of the Shore Foundation on (02) 9956 1179 or email dmasonjones@shore.nsw.edu.au

2. Online Donation Service

Our online giving facility ensures that making a difference to the future of Shore is as simple as choosing how you want to show your support and where you want to direct your donation.

Follow the link to make a donation now.

3. Parent Voluntary Donation Programme

The Shore Foundation asks the parents to support this programme when paying School fees by including a tax deductible voluntary donation of $250 each term.  The Foundation is grateful for these donations, as they provide invaluable support to the School on an ongoing basis.

4. Name a Tile, Picket or Seat

‘Name a Tile’ is an exciting initiative in the R A I Grant Centre. Tiles ($1000) will be a permanent record of your son’s or family name, displayed on the Aquatic Centre Donor Board.

There are also a few places still available to support the Northbridge “Name a Picket” ($500) and “Name a Seat” ($1000) appeal. Donor names will be on display in the Hawker Grandstand or Football & Tennis stadium.

5. Donate an auction prize

Auctions and raffles are a highlight at our Shore Foundation events. Holiday and luxury items are just some of the wonderful gifts we have received to help support the school.

6. Gift in a Will

Shore is grateful to have a strong legacy of philanthropy. Throughout the years, students, both past and present, have been beneficiaries of gifts in wills, generosity that has empowered the School to provide the highest standard of education possible. The Foundation invites you to join both Old Boys and parents who have made a commitment to the students of tomorrow. By making a gift in your will to the Shore Foundation, you are showing your commitment to helping us fulfil our goal of excellence and achievement in teaching, now and into the future.

Please download our Gifts in Wills brochure to find out more about the 1889 Society.

7. Regular and Workplace Giving

We are pleased to be able to offer you the convenience of monthly Direct Debit from your bank account or credit card. To establish a Direct Debit arrangement please contact the Shore Foundation.

Some of our generous donors use Workplace Giving as a tax effective way to support the school. Employees contribute a portion of their pre-tax salary to the Shore Foundation (a Registered Charity with DGR status) and receive the tax benefit straight away.

Some Employers will also match donations made to eligible charities, thereby doubling the impact of your giving. Check with your employer as to whether this is available.   Please seek Financial and Tax advice, regarding your individual circumstances.

8. Giving from the USA

The Chapel & York HK Foundation, formerly known as The Hong Kong Foundation for Charities, is an HK Registered Charity that gives grants to organisations around the world, as directed by its donors. The Chapel & York HK Foundation is set up as a charity in Hong Kong under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance. They are able to issue gift receipts for Hong Kong tax purposes.
