On Sunday May 4, the Shore community came together to mark a significant milestone in the life of our School; the 136th anniversary of its founding. Held in the Chapel, this special service provided a meaningful opportunity to pause, reflect, and give thanks for the rich heritage, enduring values, and vibrant spirit that continue to shape Shore today.
We were deeply honoured to welcome the Anglican Archbishop of Sydney, The Most Reverend Dr Glenn Davies, who delivered a thoughtful and inspiring sermon. His words reminded us of the deeper foundations upon which Shore was built and encouraged us to continue striving toward a future rooted in faith, service, and community.
Our sincere thanks go to the students whose presence and participation enriched the service, particularly the Chapel Choir. Their involvement is a living expression of Shore’s traditions, and it was heartening to witness their engagement with the occasion. Likewise, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff, Old Boys, parents, and friends of Shore who joined us in the Chapel. Your continued connection to the School is a reflection of the unity and shared values that bind our community together.
The 136th anniversary Chapel Service was not only a commemoration of our School’s history, but also a confirmation of our shared commitment to the future. As we look ahead, we do so with gratitude for those who have gone before us, pride in the community that surrounds us, and confidence in the generations yet to come.
