The 2020 Ceremonial Parade of the Cadet Unit was conducted on Friday 6th March with nearly 500 students from both Shore and Wenona on parade.

The School was delighted to welcome as the Reviewing Officer, Colonel Tara Bucknall, Commander of the NSW 2nd AAC Brigade. In her address, COL Bucknall spoke of the significance of the cadet programme for thousands of teenagers around the country and the skills and valuable lessons gained from the experience.

The parade marks the symbolic end of the 2019/2020 Cadet year and is the final occasion for the Year 12 Cadets who have been a part of the programme for the previous three years. A special mention should be made of the Senior CUO Lachlan Brewer, the RSM WO1 Fin Hancock, and the Drum Major CUO Finn McCredie for the exceptional work of their teams in preparing for the day.

The Unit would like to congratulate every cadet on their participation in the parade and the programme. The success of the Unit has seen a significant growth in retention numbers for the 2020/21 Cadet year starting next term. We look forward to what our new leaders will be able to achieve after the outstanding role modelling of the Class of 2020.
