Old Boy, Ben Tudhope (17) has won Australia’s first medal at the Beijing Winter Paralympics. Ben earned a bronze medal in the men’s snowboard cross, his first Paralympics medal. Ben is the Australian Co-Captain for the Beijing 2022 Winter Paralympics. He became Australia’s youngest ever Winter Paralympian when he was selected for the Sochi Games in 2014 when he was in Year 9 at Shore.

Eight years later Ben is competing for the third time as a Paralympian snowboarder in Beijing. Ben recently claimed a World Cup gold medal, along with the Crystal Globe, as the overall para snowboard season champion this year in Canada.

The Shore community was fortunate to hear Ben speak as a panel member at the Shore Foundation All Sports Lunch in 2021 when he discussed his positive sporting experiences at School.

Congratulations Ben on bringing home bronze!
