For many Shore families, one of the most reassuring moments is seeing how quickly their boys settle into Boarding. How housemates so quickly become best mates, and a sense of belonging takes shape through shared routines and care.
On Thursday 12 February, Shore will host a Boarding Information Afternoon for families who are considering weekly or full-time Boarding for their son. The afternoon offers a genuine insight into daily life in Boarding and the values that shape our community.
Families will hear from Dr Peter Miller, Headmaster, and Mr Daniel Bradford, Director of Boarding, as they speak about Shore’s approach to pastoral care, academic support and character formation within the Boarding Houses. Current Boarders and staff will also be present, offering the opportunity for open conversation in a Q&A session.
A student-led tour of the North Sydney campus and Boarding Houses will allow families to see learning spaces and common areas, offering a clear sense of how Boarding supports boys academically while nurturing independence, responsibility and connection.
Boys are encouraged to attend alongside parents or carers, giving them the chance to imagine themselves as part of the community and ask questions of those who already call Boarding home.
Date: Thursday 12 February
Time: 3.30pm to 5.30pm
Location: Shore Senior School, North Sydney
For families exploring Boarding as part of their son’s journey at Shore, this afternoon provides a thoughtful introduction to a community where care is personal and belonging is lived each day.
Registrations and further details are available via the Admissions page.
