Parenting in the Age of Anxiety - Tuesday 1st August 12pm

June 19th, 2017

The Shore Association invites parents from both Senior and Preparatory School to attend an informative seminar on Parenting in the Age of Anxiety by John Burns, Clinical Psychologist and Head of Counselling Services at Shore.

Across the world, including the North Shore of Sydney, there appears to be a very noticeable increase in the number of children and adolescents being troubled by anxiety. This presentation will help parents be better informed about what anxiety looks like in young people and what factors drive anxiety in children and adolescents. Most importantly, this presentation will focus on what parents can do to "inoculate" their kids (of all ages) against anxiety and cope better when the pressures of life are building.
