The Four Trusts

The Shore Foundation is committed to Shore’s continual development as one of Australia's leading independent schools.  By supporting our programmes with a gift, you will open the doors of learning and opportunity for generations of young men at Shore, securing a strong future for our School. They hand on the Torch of Life.

The Shore Foundation Scholarships Trust

Scholarships are awarded to boys considered to have high academic potential, who will benefit substantially by attending the School, and who will in turn make a significant contribution to the academic life of the School. In 2010 an Indigenous Scholarship was established to support Indigenous boys to attend Shore promoting student diversity.  Bursaries are awarded to boys who would otherwise not be able to attend Shore because of economic circumstances, who apply considerable effort to their studies and who will contribute significantly to the life of the School, both inside and outside the classroom.  The Foundation currently supports 45 boys on scholarships and bursaries.

The Shore Foundation Building Trust

Assists with funding for new buildings, major renovations and annual maintenance and recurrent costs. The School recently announced the architectural firm that was selected from the 'Design Ideas Competition' for the Shore Physical Education Centre - Cox Richardson Architects (COX).  This new building will see the School's vision for a 'multi-purpose academic and sports facility' achieved, and will provide a platform to help foster a well-rounded character based education for all students. The following buildings have been made possible due to generous gifts from the community:  Smith Auditorium, BH Travers Centre, Centenary Building, Preparatory School 3-6, the redevelopment of the facilities at the Northbridge Memorial Playing Fields including the Northbridge Pavilion and Tennis Complex and Graythwaite Estate.
