The Shore Foundation

Presidents Report 2011

At Shore we encourage a culture of giving and throughout 2011 we have seen some wonderful examples of that. Donations to the Shore Foundation remain steady in spite of the current economic environment with current parents participating in the: Voluntary Annual Giving Program at fee payment time, Capital Appeal pledges being paid, the Old Boys Annual Giving Program, Bequests, support of the Indigenous Scholarship Program plus other generous donations from our community – thank you all.

The Foundation plays an important role within the School and all donations provide immediate and powerful support for one of the many initiatives we have undertaken with the School on an ongoing basis. While it is important to raise funds it is equally important to re-invest in the School on behalf of our Donors to assist with the pursuits of School projects.

For over 123 years, Shore has been committed to providing a standard of education second to none. To ensure this standard is maintained along with the independence and sustainability of Shore throughout this century, we require the ongoing assistance from The Foundation.

The Shore Foundation provides an income stream to enable the School to improve and create facilities which meet the needs of Shore boys of today and future generations. It is made possible by the generous financial assistance of those who have supported the School and I thank every one of you.

The Shore Foundation continues to provide magnificent support to the School today and for the future. I thank the Foundation and the many supporters for their generosity.
